Policy Begins Where People Are
About Us
Darshaniti Research Foundation is a section 8 non-profit organisation registered under the Companies Act, 2013. Our mission is to engage with communities across the country, from urban slums in Tier 1 cities to the most remote villages, to understand their actual realities and shape policies that truly empower them. We believe meaningful change begins with presence, by listening, learning, and co-creating solutions alongside those directly impacted. Through dialogue, field engagement and by living their reality, we aim to bring everyday challenges into the heart of mainstream political and policy conversations, so that change is not distant, but tangible. Our goal is simple: to ensure that policy reflects people, not from a distance, but through shared experience, with empathy, integrity, and purpose.

Our Vision
We envision a just and inclusive society where every individual, regardless of geography or background, has equal access to quality education, healthcare, and good governance. While we aim to expand our reach and impact over time, our core commitment will always remain centered on marginalized communities, ensuring their concerns are heard, addressed, and integrated into the national policy narrative.
Our Centres
Our Focus
Darshaniti Research Foundation is beginning its journey by focusing on three core areas where grounded policy work can make an immediate and lasting difference:

-
Education that empowers: We aim to ensure that access to quality education becomes a lived reality, especially in underserved regions, where aspirations are often held back by lack of opportunity.
-
Healthcare with dignity: We want to understand health gaps as people experience them from primary care to mental health and work towards systems that uphold dignity and access for all.
-
Governance that listens: We advocate for transparent, accountable governance that is rooted in the voices and needs of the people. Our work begins by building trust, facilitating participation, and creating pathways for communities to engage with decision-making processes.

These are starting points. As we grow, we will continue to listen first and act responsibly, ensuring that policy begins not in isolation, but in connection.
